After my losses, I attended a support group for those who have lost a baby. One night, the topic was our faith. There were a few moms that are Catholic. They were questioning why a Loving God would take their baby. They were brought up that if they prayed enough, prayed the Rosary, that nothing would go wrong. I could not just sit there and not say anything. I know that there are many stages of grief. Anger is one of them. I am a cradle Catholic. I don't ever remember anyone promising we would not go through hard times just because we prayed enough. God did not spare His Son. If you look at the lives of the Saints, most of them suffered greatly.
When I got home that night, I wrote "The Sorrowful Mother." Click on the title to go to the link.
