When I was young, I went to see the movie "Jesus Christ Superstar." It was during the movie that I realized Christ endured the Scourging at the Pillar for my sins. Every time they would flog Him, I felt it in my heart. I can't imagine what Our Lady went through seeing her Son dragged through the streets, beaten, broken and nailed to the Cross.
Another movie moment that changed my life and the way I looked at Our Lady was in the movie "The Passion of the Christ." When Mary saw Jesus fall, carrying His Cross, she flashed back to the Child Jesus. She ran to Him. She needed to hold Him once again . She saw the Precious Body and Blood of Our Lord, Her Son, on the ground beneath the pillar. She tried to wipe it up. O how Precious is one drop of His Blood.
